Herman Düne Herman Düne - Giant

I stood so proud on top of the cliff
my knees were hard, my legs were stiff
the sun wept me but i didn't feel it
an ant was climbing up my heel, it

tackled my cold heedless ankle
i didn't make a move and let it tickle
i gazed about but i didn't see
any limit between the world and me

you were not far, you were quite near
you seemed fearless but did you fear
that i might leave you then
or was it just not believable

because one must have a reason to go and none to stay
and these things don't happen everyday
my feet were firm, my hands did not shake
i was there only for being there's sake

now my hands are strong enough to kill
there's no way cause there's no will
i'm a giant on a dwarf's shoulder
and the night it only gets colder

i once found a heaven six feet under
the dirty green ocean water
the waves were high, the waves were strong
my afterlife didn't last too long

i was washed ashore into ???
where i stood us down and on the earth that spun
i heard the dear voices of benevolent men
i'd heard before but didn't know when

the dead still dwelved behind the stars
i will lie on the grass and wait for hours
until one would suddenly steal away
just to leave me happy where i lay

i knew i would see it again some time
they travel the world that was the same as mine
the very world where animals speak
and you only find the things you seek

now my hands are strong enough to kill
there's no way cause there's no will
i'm a giant on a dwarf's shoulder
and the night it only gets colder

now my hands are strong enough to kill
there's no way cause there's no will
i'm a giant on a dwarf's shoulder
and the night it only gets colder
